You may have heard of Disney World, but everyone knows how expensive that can be! Especially for my fellow Canadians with our dollar value being so low! Well, if you want to experience the fun, magic and excitement for FREE, then Disney Springs is the place to go!
Shops
When you arrive at Disney Springs, formally known as Downtown Disney, you are going to notice that it’s not one of Disney’s parks. There are no rides, or characters, or fireworks, BUT instead, it is filled with rows of amazingly fun Disney shops! You can find all kinds of souvenirs – from stuffed animals, character clothing, action figures and my personal favorite, CANDY! Some of the shops that you can find are:
- Goofy’s Candy Shop
- Bongo’s Cuban Cafe And Souvenir Gift Shop
- Disney’s Candy Cauldron
- Disney’s Days Of Christmas
And soooo many more!
Entertainment
If you have little ones, don’t miss the Bippidi Bobbidi Boutique! This unique store is a gem in Disney Springs. At the boutique, little humans have their dreams come true. I was never able to partake in this luxury, but I always enjoyed window watching as boys and girls transformed from themselves into princesses and princes. It is like a little assembly line of hair styling, make up, nail art and GLITTER…..so much glitter! The “piece de la resistance”, is a signature rhinestone Mickey Mouse ear clip for her hair or his costume. I have never seen the boutique empty, so it is safe to assume you probably need to book an appointment days, weeks or even months before you arrive (just book it when you book your Disney tickets to be sure!). Be ready to be pampered!
Restaurants
It is going to happen. At some point during your wandering of Disney Springs, your
belly is going to growl, or your kids are going to meltdown, complaining that they are STARVING! There are plenty of options for food in true Disney style. There is the Dinosaur restaurant, which is really cool. You are greeted by a massive animatronic T-Rex with itty bitty arms as a server takes you to your table. After your meal, in true Disney form, you are ushered into a souvenir shop where the littles can buy a dinosaur Build A Bear! If Dino’s are not your thing, head over to the Rainforest Cafe. Find yourself immersed in a tropical setting with aquariums surrounding you while you eat. My grandmother never let us eat in there as their ‘greeter’ was a very large boa constrictor. She has an insane fear of snakes!
I absolutely loved going to Disney Springs when I was younger, and I still do to this day! It is the perfect attraction for every age group, and includes something for everyone! Whenever I am visiting Florida, it is always one of my favorite things to do with my whole family! Whether it’s shopping, playing, or eating everyone is bound to feel like a character from their greatest dreams!
Very well written! Next time I go to Disney Springs with any little ones I will be sure to book in advance for the makeover. I go to Florida every year and am always sure to take a trip to DIsney Springs. Your trip sounds really fun, enjoy!!!

I love how you actually went in depth about her experience with going to Disney Springs. you gave us a review and what’s there for people who are tending to go in the future can have a sense of how it is like. She added stores for younger kids to teenagers. She wrote about the amazing details of what makes each store unique. She also added the different restaurants
